ScheerForce Clinics Begin January 14th
New for 2025: Specialty clinics, Drilling sessions, and Coached Play for each skill level

General Clinic Information: Clinics will be 1-day sessions for 90 minutes of instruction. Maximum 4 players per court. Instructor/student ratio 1:4.
ScheerForce Clinics, conducted by IPTPA-Certified instructor and coach Sherry Scheer, will once again be held at IslandWalk in January and February.
General Clinic Information: Clinics are 1-day sessions for 90 minutes of instruction. Full payment is due at registration. There are no refunds or exchanges, but you can pass your enrollment to another if you can’t attend one the sessions for which you registered. See pricing below.
Location: IslandWalk Resort Courts.
Beginner Clinics ($60.00): This is for pickleball “Newbies." Learn the basic fundamentals of the game: grip, ready position, scoring, footwork, and basic strokes.
Advanced Beginner Clinics ($60.00): Moving past beginner level. This player is interested in improving strokes, court positioning, and learning strategy.
Specialty Clinics ($60.00): These clinics include: Mastering the 3rd Shot, Coached Play, Mastering Court Positioning, Learn while you Play, Learning how to move through the Transition Zone, Drills for Success, Quick Hands, Speed Ups, Block volleys and Soft Hands.
*Skills and Drills ($60.00): Each 1.5 hour session will include specific drills followed by game play. Drill sessions include: dinks, volleys, sliced returns, ground strokes, serves, resets, blocks, defensive lobs and offensive lobs.

Pickleball Lessons
To schedule a lesson, contact an instructor from the list of HOA-approved PB instructors below. We remind everyone that only HOA-approved instructors are allowed to provide lessons at our facilities. The approval process includes the submission of certification and insurance data and arrangements to pay HOA fees. Lessons may be scheduled during hours when guest play is allowed. Reserve the court in your name through RMC and choose “lesson” from the Event Type drop-down menu. Lessons are limited to a maximum of 4 players per court.

He has made a name for himself on the court through consistent high-level tournament performances, with a few of his notable wins against players such as Kyle Yates, C.J Klinger, and Chuck Taylor. Returning from a successful season at the prestigious Lake Toxaway Country Club in North Carolina, Ryan was hired as the Pickleball Director for their summer season — a testament to both his playing ability and leadership in the sport. With a strong background in coaching, player development, and competitive play, Ryan is a valuable asset to The IslandWalk Pickleball community offering lessons, clinics, and camps to all players and skill levels.

As a professional educator, she adapts her teaching style to meet the needs of each individual student.
