TAG Responsibilities

MISSION:

To create engaging social events that bring together IslandWalk residents through the love of tennis, fostering community spirit, and encouraging an active lifestyle. Looking for enthusiastic and organized individual(s) to serve your tennis community.

MEMBERSHIP:

5-member group. Members will have staggered terms with 2- and 1-year terms. All members must be approved by the Board of Directors to serve their term.

The HOA Board of Directors and the General Manager retain the ultimate authority to act on TAG membership, actions or decisions as well as on all policies and rules affecting tennis play and the use of tennis facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organize regular tennis events and activities that cater to all skill levels.
Promote social interaction and camaraderie among IslandWalk Residents.
Provide a fun, inclusive and welcoming environment for all IslandWalk tennis players.

ACTIVITIES:

Round Robins: Friendly matches to mix players of different skill levels for fun and competition.
Themed Mixers: Monthly social tennis events with unique themes to encourage participation and interaction.
Holiday Tournaments: Special events to celebrate holidays with competitive and festive tennis matches.
Picnic & Play: Combination of tennis activities followed by community picnics to foster a sense of togetherness.
Create events to raise funds to provide improvements to the IslandWalk tennis facilities.

COMMUNICATION:

Regular updates through IslandWalk community newsletter and social media.
Direct email communication for members who opt-in for notifications.
Communicate weekly schedules of all competitive league home matches.
Maintain and share tennis contact list.
Event schedules and announcements posted on the court bulletin board and website.

MEETINGS:

TAG will schedule meeting as needed, at minimum quarterly.

RECREATION COMMITTEE LIASON:

The HOA Board shall designate a Recreation Committee member to be the liaison between TAG and the Recreation Committee.

AMENDMENTS:

This Charter may be amended by the Board of Directors at its discretion.

LIABILITY:

Neither TAG, nor any of its members thereof, shall be liable to the Association or any owner, for any damages, loss or prejudice suffered or claimed.
